The ICTP is organizing, in collaboration with CONACYT, CIMAT, MCTP and Instituto de Matematica de la UNAM, the Third Latin American School on Algebraic Geometry and Applications (ELGA3), to be held at CIMAT, Guanajuato, Mexico from 31 July to 11 August 2017.
The School aims at bringing together experts in algebraic geometry and present different topics of current research to advanced graduate students, postdocs and young researches from Latin America and other parts of the world.
TOPICS:
In addition to research talks on diverse topics in algebraic geometry, the programme of the activity includes the following lectures:
First week:

• Perverse Sheaves and the Topology of Algebraic Varieties (Mark de Cataldo)
• Virtual Topological Invariants of Moduli Spaces of Sheaves on Surfaces (Lothar Göttsche)
