Abstract. Using the duality between heterotic string theory and F-theory, we study the effect of quantum corrections for torus fibred heterotic compactifications away from the stable degeneration limit. We will show that almost every elliptic heterotic compactification becomes a non-geometric T-fold away from the stable degeneration limit.
