Entanglement is at heart of many interesting phenomena in quantum physics. From determining important properties in many-body physics to practical communication using quantum light, understanding and proving entanglement is a paradigmatic task across many subdisciplines. It is relatively well understood for small Hilbert space dimensions, however it becomes intractably complex for large dimensions and particle numbers. In this talk I would like to give an introductory overview about state-of-the-art methods in entanglement theory for nonetheless navigating high-dimensional Hilbert spaces and reliably certifying entanglement within.
