In this talk I will present a panoramic view of the results of some of the most recent projects within my group. This includes: study of motility of the bacterium E. coli in a porous medium with different degrees of porosity; characterization of the motility patterns of the parasite responsible for Chagas' disease; and study of the dynamic behavior of the tryptophanase gene regulatory network in Escherichia coli. I also plan to discuss possible future interdisciplinary research projects arising from the presented results. In this last regards, I'm very much interested in having the audience feedback.
