Abstract: Gorenstein dimensions are relative homological dimensions which can be considered as \"refinements\" of classical homological dimensions. In this talk, we will review the fundamental definitions and results of the theory of the Gorenstein dimensions over commutative noetherian rings and will also state some recently proved results.
