Description |
ICTP's annual Spring School on Superstring Theory and Related Topics provides pedagogical treatment of those subjects through lectures by some of the world's top string and quantum field theorists. The activity is intended for theoretical physicists or mathematicians with knowledge of quantum field theory, general relativity, and string theory.
It is organised in collaboration with the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN).
Topics:
* Black Holes and Quantum Error Correction (C. AKERS)
* Non-Invertible Symmetries (S. SCHAFER-NAMEKI)
* D-Instanton Effects in String Theory (A. SEN)
* Developments in Quantum Field Theory and Chaos (J. SONNER)
The lectures will be accompanied by discussion sessions.
Lecturers include:
C. AKERS, MIT, USA
S. SCHAFER-NAMEKI, University of Oxford, UK
A. SEN, ICTS Bangalore, India
J. SONNER, University of Geneve, Switzerland Grants:
A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. There is no registration fee.
