An ICTP meeting in presence in Arusha, Tanzania
The topic of this year EAUMP-ICTP school is Enumerative Combinatorics, chosen following recent efforts at strengthening combinatorics in East Africa, a topic that is easily accessible and yet little taught and researched. It relates to the research group Combinatorial Research Studio (CoRS) funded by the International Science Programme.
Minicourses topics: Per Alexandersson: Introductory combinatorics Balazs Szendroi: Generating functions Stephan Wagner: Analytic combinatorics Fernando Rodriguez-Villegas: Combinatorics, finite fields and geometry Hans Höngesberg: Combinatorics of lattice paths Nadia Lafrenière: Combinatorics with SageMath Lectures topics: Fufa Beyene: Merging-free partitions and run-sorted permutations Frether Getachew: Parity Alternating Permutations Starting with an Odd Integer Olivia Nabawanda: A weighted Murnaghan-Nakayama rule for (P,w)-partitions
Grants: A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. There is no registration fee.
