The ICTP Meeting
The aim of this project is to inspire and engage students' on different subjects in theoretical physics and mathematics. The scientific program will be complemented by soft skills sessions.
The school is an interdisciplinary activity: it includes lectures in theoretical physics
and mathematics and it consists of interactive lectures centered around exercises. We expect that the students will be at the end of an undergraduate degree and they plan to apply for new positions.
The school will be composed of several mini-courses on different topics. Our ultimate goal is to help the students to engage with the material in a more active and inspiring way. At the end of the two weeks there will be some colloquiums on “Future directions” that will introduce the students to some more advanced topics and give them a flavor of possible research topics connected to the objects they have encountered in the school.
Topics:
Advanced Quantum Mechanics
Advanced Statistical Physics
Introduction to Python
Topology
Group Theory
Differential Geometry
Complex Analysis
