From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Maker Faire Trieste 2024 PRIZES AWARDEES

Lady Maker MFTS Award offered by Rotary Club Alto Adriatico, assigned to Vittoria Protani for her project M48 “Abruzzo Technology – Water Recovery”
with the following motivation: “For having enhanced, thanks to her invention, the crucial role of women in Italian engineering, through environmental sustainability with the recovery of otherwise wasted water resources.”

1st MAKER MFTS Award offered by Rotary Club Alto Adriatico, assigned to Luciano Fumagalli for his project M55 “Assemble ANGELO, build solidarity” with the following motivation: “For having made his idea available to the entire community to help the hearing impaired, a smart and innovative idea, which combines in the best way the generational passage, an object for grandparents that can be built by grandchildren.”

2nd MAKER MFTS Award offered by Rotary Club Alto Adriatico, assigned to Simone Klinkon for his project M29 “AMMS – DIY Autonomous Environmental Monitoring System” with the following motivation: “For having rethought, from an open source perspective for the benefit of the entire community, the integration of meteorological data collection systems by creating a monitoring platform that integrates the themes of attention to the environment and sustainability.”

3rd MAKER MFTS Award offered by Rotary Club Alto Adriatico, assigned to Beatrice Bove for her project M49 “MagiCal” with the following motivation: “For having integrated innovation and teaching, thus allowing children to learn, in a pleasant and playful way, a complex subject such as mathematics.”

Special Award “Innovative ideas for tomorrow’s world” offered by ESTECO SpA, awarded to Erika Ronchin for her project M67 “Detector of soil respiration: IRGA4soil” with the following motivation: “For having created and presented an innovative system for acquiring and monitoring the health of cultivated land, based on an easily available sensor. The acquired data are collected within a computer system. The innovative intent of simplifying the measuring instrumentation is emphasized, making the solution transportable and low-cost”

Special Jury Award to Davide Prodan for his project M82 “ClassLab Biology in schools” with the following motivation: “For his great communication skills and the contagious enthusiasm he transmits. A path to touch with your hand to fill the gaps between theoretical teachings and practical reality.”

Young Maker Award to Davide Rudes, 14 years old, who brought the M41 project “The various battery systems in history and the discovery, with these, of electrolysis”

Three Prize Vouchers offered by ARDUINO and delivered by the “guest maker” Alessandro Ranellucci:
- For the typically maker solution to a problem that affects a disadvantaged category, the M55 “ANGELO” device by Luciano Fumagalli
- For the attention towards the training of the new generation of makers, the projects of the M22 “Linolab” fablab by Luca Baruzzo
- For the application of the maker spirit to a productive reality, the M21 “CornTech 0.1” agricultural robot by Roberto Fior.
