Abstract. In this talk, I will discuss vortex formation and evolution during production of dark photon dark matter and dark photon superradiance. These vortices, once formed, will absorb almost all of the energy density from the background dark photon field. The formation of vortices happen in all known dark photon dark matter production mechanisms for a wide range of parameter spaces. I will also discuss the phenomenological implications of these vortices and what is needed to achieve a robust experimental prediction.
