In recent years the number of Afghan students going onto further study in MSc in Physics has sharply risen, due to the collaboration of ICTP Physics Without Frontiers with Iranian Universities including IASBS, FUM and SBU, some of whom are now onto PhD studies. This conference will highlight the fantastic physics studies the students are doing despite difficult beginnings, and provide an interactive training environment for careers and opportunities for the students. Day 1: 10 September 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm DST (Kabul Time) / 11:30am - 5:00pm CEST (Italian Time) After a short welcome, Afghan MSc students will present their research to the registered particpants in conference parallel session style. During the breaks, posters will be shown and any questions to the students will be discussed. Day 2: 11 September 2pm-6pm DST (Kabul Time) / 11:30am - 3:30pm CEST (Italian Time) Afghan students will attend a series of lectures, hands on sessions, and discussion sessions, on the topics of careers and opportunities in physics. Along with details of how to apply for further study in physics, CV writing, and interview techniques, students will also be introduced into non academic pathways, industry links, and skill development. We welcome participants with knowledge of opportunities and scientific networks to get in touch if they have ideas or suggestions for the conference.
