I will revisit the bootstrap origins of string theory. The motivation is to re-examine the bootstrap of string-like theories but retain the field theory Feynman diagram-like picture in mind. This idea was dismissed in the 1960-1970s literature but I will show that using a novel crossing symmetric dispersion relation, a new representation of the Veneziano amplitude is possible. Taking inspiration from this, we will set up a novel approach to the bootstrap, which leverages field redefinition ambiguities in quantum field theories. We will show that tree level 2-2 scattering in superstring theory minimizes the first finite moment of the entangling power and discuss potential advantages of integrating Machine Learning techniques for certain nonlinear constraints.
