Abstract: In the talk we will investigate a special family of piecewise linear maps on dendrites. This so-called family of Markovian maps is a direct generalisation of Markov maps on topological trees. We will show some results on the specifics of Markovian dynamics on the Gehman dendrite. Then we will follow with an analysis on the existence of measures of maximal entropy for Markovian dynamical systems.
