Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and ICTP, the ICTP Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Unit is organizing a one-week training activity for eight visitors from Kuwait, including four employees of The Scientific Center of Kuwait (TSCK), as part of the renewed Kuwait Programme at ICTP.
The training, taking place at the ICTP Scientific Fablab (SciFabLab) from 24 to 27 November, will cover fablab management, hands-on work with digital fabrication tools, community engagement, and design-thinking methodologies to support the establishment of a new fablab at TSCK in 2026.
Launched in 2014, the SciFabLab is an advanced facility promoting innovation, practical science, and capacity building through 3D printing, laser cutting, and electronics prototyping, while serving as a STEM education hub that hosts workshops, outreach events, and the annual Maker Faire Trieste.
