DESCRIPTION:\n	\nThere will be a small registration fee charged to cover c
 atering that includes\nlunches\, coffee breaks and a reception.\n\n\n	\n	O
rganized convective systems are often responsible for high impact precipit
ation extremes\, and changes in convective organization have the potential
to amplify or dampen future climate change. The conference follows the pr
evious iterations of this meeting (held online\, in Utrecht and Trieste)\,
with the goal of examining our understanding of cloud organization in mod
 els and observations.\n\n	 \n\n	The meeting’s central themes are:\n\n
Extreme precipitation from organized convection\n	\n Convective organizat
ion over land\n	\n Organization of convection in global km-scale models\n
\n Artificial intelligence applied to convective organization\n	\n Cold
-pool driven convective organization\n	\n Shallow and congestus convectiv
e organization (over ocean and land)\n	\n Convective organization’s fee
dback on climate change\n	\n Convective organization and tropical waves\n
\n	 \n\n	Research abstracts: In the application form\, all applicants ar
e requested to submit a brief research abstract for a poster presentation
and/or contributed talk. A limited number of abstracts will be selected fo
r the poster session or to give a talk. Please use ICTP templates availabl
e for download here and below under 'Material'.\n\n	Grants: A limited num
ber of grants are available to support the attendance of selected particip
ants\, with priority given to participants from developing countries. \n
\n\nPlease see the conference website for further details on accommodati
 on options and transport.\n\n\n//indico.ictp.it/event/11117/
