DESCRIPTION:The call for applications is open. Please click on 'Apply here
' (on the left) to submit your application. An ICTP Hybrid Meeting\n	The se
venth edition of “Youth in high dimensions” will give to young researc
hers the opportunity to gather and present recent results on high-dimensio
nal statistical problems\, in areas ranging from machine learning and infe
rence to neuroscience or statistical physics.\n	Typical problems in high-d
imensions include estimating noisy signals (compressed sensing\, PCA and t
ensor decomposition)\, analysing (deep) neural-networks\, detecting commun
ities in large networks\, or modelling disordered spin systems. These seem
ingly unrelated problems share many similarities in their phenomenology an
d in the tools used to analyse them. The core of the field is made of a ve
ry active\, diverse and quickly expanding community of physicists\, comput
er scientists\, mathematicians\, information theorists and engineers\, wit
h the common desire to tackle increasingly challenging problems at the for
efront of data science.\n	This conference aims at reinforcing the links am
ong this interdisciplinary community\, and in particular of its youngest t
heory-oriented members\, and to bring forward the latest development happe
 ning in the high-dimensional world.\n\n	Topics\n\n High-dimensional stati
