DESCRIPTION:Deadline extended to 12 May 2026.An ICTP-IAEA meeting \n	\n	F
ocused on strategic planning for sustainable nuclear energy\, the INPRO Sc
hool brings together IAEA and international experts to share practical ins
ights and experience\, equipping participants with core concepts\, methodo
logies\, and tools for modelling\, analysis\, and sustainability assessmen
t of nuclear energy systems.\n	The International Project on Innovative Nuc
lear Reactors and Fuel Cycles (INPRO) was established within the IAEA in 2
000\, with the goal to unsure that nuclear energy is available to contribu
te\, in a sustainable manner\, to the growing energy needs of the current
century and beyond. INPRO is one of several key IAEA programmes.\n	The IAE
A has developed a set of decision support tools for developing nuclear ene
rgy scenarios and conducting studies for formulating national strategies f
or sustainable nuclear energy systems. The INPRO School aims to disseminat
e these tools and to develop and strengthen the competencies needed for lo
ng-term strategic planning of sustainable nuclear energy systems at the na
tional\, regional\, and global levels. This objective is accomplished by p
roviding knowledge and basic practical experience on the INPRO analytical
approaches\, methods and tools for assessment and analysis of nuclear ener
gy systems.\n	The School programme focuses on the following topics related
to the sustainability of nuclear energy systems:\n	 \n\n Energy plannin
g and strategies for sustainable development\n	\n Planning for nuclear en
ergy sustainability\n	\n INPRO methodology for assessing sustainability o
f nuclear energy systems\n	\n The role of innovations for sustainability
of nuclear energy systems\n	\n Methods and tools for modelling and analys
is of nuclear energy systems\n	\n Nuclear reactor technology assessment f
or near term deployment\n	\n Evolutionary and innovative reactor designs\
 , including SMRs\n\n	Speakers\n	A. Bychkov\, International Expert\n	Y. Che
 rnyakhovskaya\, International Expert\n	I. Jalal\, International Expert\n	A
