DESCRIPTION:An ICTP-IAEA Meeting\n	\n		This School is a certificate course
  providing specialized education and training on development and implement
 ation of knowledge management programmes in nuclear science and technology
  organizations. It is intended for young professionals in current or futur
 e leading roles in managing nuclear knowledge. \n	\n		 \n	\n		Jointly or
 ganized by ICTP and the IAEA since 2004\, this Nuclear Knowledge Managemen
 t (NKM) School focuses on methodologies and practices and explores various
  dimensions of nuclear knowledge management. \n	\n		These include process
 es and tools\, challenges and benefits\, culture influence\, relationship 
 with human resource development\, IT for knowledge preservation and sharin
 g. Learning is supplemented with real life examples from NKM programmes in
  different types of nuclear organizations. \n	\n		The aim is to encourage
  ‘forward thinking’ and to enable participants to apply theory and ins
 ights in their daily work. Lectures at the ICTP by recognized experts are 
 followed by case studies\, practical work and breakout sessions where part
 icipants will have the opportunity to discuss issues and solutions. \n	\n
 		NKM group projects are also developed over the week. Shortlisted candida
 tes will undergo an on-line preliminary training course and a test\, the r
 esults of which will be one of the elements to define the final list of pa
 rticipants. \n	\n		 \n	\n		 \n	\n		Topics:\n	\n			Nuclear knowledge and

 yone who has not previously participated in an IAEA NKM School.Grants: A l
 imited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selecte
 d participants\, with priority given to participants from developing count
