  talk about opportunities for the next generation of scientists.\nAbstract
 : This presentation explores UNESCO’s approach to advancing women’s pa
 rticipation in science\, engineering\, and emerging technologies\, from ed
 ucation to leadership. It highlights the persistent structural gaps across
  the scientific pipeline\, particularly in fields such as physics\, engine
 ering\, and quantum technologies\, where both gender and global inequaliti
 es intersect. Building on UNESCO’s work under the International Decade o
 f Sciences for Sustainable Development\, the presentation showcases concre
 te actions\, from capacity building and fellowships to policy advocacy\, d
 ata\, and global initiatives such as remote access to advanced infrastruct
 ure and the Global Quantum Initiative. It argues that closing the gender g
 ap in science is not only a matter of equity\, but a prerequisite for scie
 ntific excellence and innovation\, and calls for collective action to move
