The III São Paulo School on Gravitational Physics is an initiative led by early-career researchers to explore and promote the various aspects of gravity. In 2026, we will adventure through topics ranging from celestial holography to the astrophysics of compact objects. We will also celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Unruh effect through a few special minicourses in preparation for the Thermality in Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetimes conference (https://www.ictp-saifr.org/tqftcs2026/), which will take place in São Paulo in the week following the school.
Registration: TBA
School: 27 July 2026 to 31 July 2026
Languages: Four courses in English (inequivalent representations, modular theory, celestial holography, and particle detectors), and two courses in Portuguese (gravitational waves and relativistic stars).
Eligible Applicants: All interested physics students may apply for courses in English, and Brazilian physics students may apply for courses in Portuguese.
