• 10:00 - 12:00 Lorenzo Foscolo (Sapienza): Constructions of special holonomy manifolds from 4 to higher dimensions (Part I) Abstract: We will discuss classical and more recent gluing constructions of hyperkähler metrics on the K3 manifolds and how they inform and suggest constructions of special holonomy metrics (Calabi-Yau, G2) in higher dimensions. • 14:00 - 16:00 Cristiano Spotti (Aarhus Univ.): Degenerations of canonical metrics and algebraic geometry (Part I) Abstract: We will discuss results concerning degenerations and singularities of canonical metrics in complex geometry -notably Kähler–Einstein metrics- and their interaction with algebraic geometry. Topics will include moduli compactifications and multiscale structures appearing in metric degenerations, with emphasis on recent developments at the interface of geometric analysis and algebraic geometry.
