DESCRIPTION:\n	ACCLIMATISE is a three-year project funded by Wellcome Trus
 t\n	The ACCLIMATISE Hackathon 2026 is the first of an annual series\, brin
 ging together early-career scientists from partner institutions for three 
 weeks of hands-on training in climate analysis\, vector modelling\, and AI
  applications to assess the impact of climate change on malaria in Africa.
 \n\n	 \n\n	The ACCLIMATISE Hackathon 2026 is the first in a series of ann
 ual training events designed to strengthen climate-health research capacit
 y across Africa. This three-week immersive programme brings together early
 -career scientists for hands-on learning in climate science\, malaria mode
 lling\, and AI applications. Participants will work collaboratively on pro
 jects based on the open-source VECTRI and OpenMalaria modelling frameworks
 \, along with climate data downscaling and analysis\, while also gaining p
 ractical experience in the deployment of weather stations and low-cost cli
 mate sensor networks. Through lectures\, collaborative coding sessions\, t
 he hackathon fosters technical excellence\, collaboration\, and the develo
 pment of climate-informed solutions for malaria control and public health.
