DESCRIPTION:\n	Description\n	The "Educational Gap" in physics and the pers
 istent "Brain Drain" across the Caribbean present significant barriers to 
 regional development. Talented students often seek opportunities abroad du
 e to a lack of local access to cutting-edge research infrastructure. This 
 workshop addresses these systemic challenges by fostering regional coopera
 tion and providing the high-level technical foundations required for inter
 national scientific integration.\n	The workshop is strategically designed 
 to bridge the transition from theoretical physics to technical competence 
 in synchrotron radiation\, adopting the "ABC Capacities" framework—focus
 ing on Accelerators\, Beamlines\, and Computing—which serves as the oper
 ational foundation for the Greater Caribbean Light Source (GCLS) initiati
 ve. By preparing a specialized regional workforce\, this activity ensures 
 that Colombia and the Greater Caribbean can eventually operate and utilize
  the future GCLS facility to address local priorities in health\, agricult
 ure\, and materials science.\n	 \n\n	Program Topics\n\n		Part 1: Principl
 es & Accelerators: Introduction to the GCLS project\, synchrotron sources
  for microscopy\, and the physics of charge movement in electric and magne
 tic fields.\n	\n		Part 2: Synchrotron Science & Advanced Techniques:\n		\n
 				Introduction to synchrotron science\, beamlines\, and scientific appli
 cations at Sirius (Brazil).\n			\n				Fundamentals of X-ray scattering\, d
 iffraction\, and coherent X-ray techniques.\n		\n	\n		Part 3: Computing & 
 Future: The SYNAPSE project\, big data management\, and storage rings as 
 light sources.\n	\n		Special Session: A regional Mini-Symposium featurin
 g research presentations from international experts and a dedicated Career
 s and Opportunities session covering ICTP scholarship programs (Diploma a
 nd STEP).\n\n	At a Glance\n\n		Expected Audience: Maximum 40 participants
 .\n	\n		Eligibility: Primarily final-year undergraduate and Master’s le
 vel candidates from Physics\, Chemistry\, and Engineering. The selection p
 rocess actively prioritizes students from underrepresented communities an
 d underprivileged sectors\, ensuring gender balance.\n	\n		\n			Format: I
