An ICTP Meeting
This interdisciplinary College is designed to equip students and early-career researchers with the knowledge and skills needed to address global health challenges, focusing on affordable, portable, and scalable optical and photonic technologies. In addition to lectures, hands-on sessions will be organized each day of the college Topics include:
• Advanced microscopic techniques: digital holographic, bright-field, confocal, phase contrast, super-resolution and advanced fluorescence microscopy
• Optical coherence tomography • Photonics tools for rapid detection and treatment of viral and bacterial infections • Nanophotonics and plasmonics for ultrasensitive biosensing • Lab-on-a-chip optical systems for point-of-care testing • Photodynamic therapy for cancer and infectious diseases • Biomedical photoacoustics and imaging • Photothermal diagnostics and imaging. Nanoparticles and Photothermal therapy • Metasurfaces for biosensing, molecular diagnostics, and biomedical imaging Research abstracts: Applicants are encouraged to submit an abstract for a poster presentation. Please use our templates to format your abstract. Templates are available also below for download. Some abstracts may be selected for contributed talks.
Grants: A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. There is no registration fee.
