The 2-channel Kondo model has a non-Fermi liquid ground state with a degeneracy of g=square root of 2. Following a prediction of Calabrese and Cardy, ln g is expected to appear as a term in the entanglement entropy. The Kondo model also exhibits an exponentially large "screening cloud". I will present an intuitive picture in terms of resonating valence bonds, and numerical evidence from DMRG, for how both ln g and the screening cloud size show up in the entanglement entropy.
