Description |
Nanogeoscience is a rapidly rising star in the field of geosciences with applications in environment science & engineering, and development of resource engineering. In this presentation, I’ll briefly overview the scope of nanogeosciences. After that, I’ll focus on four different topics: (1) how to make a full molecular model of crude oil, which we called it “digital oil”; (2) how the interfacial structures change when salt in aqueous solutions changes, and what is the typical consequence in oil production; (3) how the molecule behaves differently in nanopores (as the case of shale gas system) as revealed by NMR relaxation time measurement; (4) what are our current efforts for CO2 mineralization using first-principles molecular dynamics.
