Approximation solutions for collective behaviour of self propelled particles

It is well known that macroscopic behaviour of the microscopic interacting particles obeys hydrodynamics equations. However, it is a recent interest to find collective behaviour of active matters, specially to describe hydrodynamics of the matter composed of self propelled particles. Obtaining hydrodynamics equations from microscopic interaction rules in active matter requires approximation. We are going to compare some approaches.
