The school comprises different modules, containing lectures and practical applications.
Starting with an introduction to climate modelling and different downscaling approaches, downscaling of weather extremes will be studied in detail with a comparison of statistical and dynamical approaches, followed by an introduction to methods for validating the representation of extreme events and assessing their uncertainties.
