" Actual problems of physics of cryocrystals"
Abstract
Gaseous at room temperature or low pressures and solid at low temperatures or high pressures, cryocrystals (rare gas solids, solid hydrogens, oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) are one of the richest areas of contemporary physics research. As the simplest materials resembling solid-state models, they are the best testing ground for studying the physics of condensed matter. A short review will be given of new results and actual problems of physics of cryocrystals which were under discussion at the recent conference Cryocrystals 2012 (Odessa, Ukraine, September 2 – 8, 2012).
