A characterization of a Kondo system using only entanglement measures is provided. For this purpose: I shall firstly analyze a spin realization of the single channel Kondo model and show how one can determine the Kondo screening length by a measure of entanglement. I then show how the entanglement with the impurity “stored” in the Kondo cloud may be used to generate distance independent long range entanglement between the end point of a Kondo spin chain.
