Traffic systems modeling has largely been an engineering problem and entire software packages built around the problem currently exist. Yet some assumptions may be worth questioning. In this talk, I will provide an overview of some unique features of vehicular traffic in the Philippines. These features, which range from driving behavior to management methods, provide an interesting test bed for traffic models with adaptive agents.
