Abstract. Due to the electric-magnetic duality of supergravity, one is able to have a Lagrangian description of the theory in different duality frames. Although the gaugings of supergravity have been classified as long as we stick to the electric frame, it is not for long that the similar analysis in an arbitrary electric-magnetic duality frame has been done. After a review of the topic and BV deformation formalism, we will go on to show a no-go theorem for the gaugings of N=4 and maximal supergravity in four dimensions.
