We study the effects of the range of interaction in coarsening dynamics, both in the case of deterministic (Hamiltonian) and stochastic (Langevin) microscopic dynamics. In both cases, we confirm for our model the existence of a scaling regime, during which the size of domains grows in time according to a power law. In the case of stochastic dynamics, the exponents are very close to those predicted in literature, for the dynamics of the domain walls, while for Hamiltonian dynamics we get different values, with a transition between super-linear growth (for weak-long range interactions) and sub-linear growth (for short-range interactions). --------------------------------------------------------------------- If you wish to meet with the speaker, please contact andreatr@sissa.it
