The 2022 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize Ceremony will take place in the Budinich Lecture Hall starting at 14:00 hrs on Thursday 13 April 2023, and will include an introduction by Professor Luigi Ambrosio, Scuola Normale, Pisa, Italy.

The 2022 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians from Developing Countries has been awarded to Prof. Mouhamed Moustapha Fall of AIMS-Senegal "in recognition for his impressive results on existence and non-existence of solutions of linear and nonlinear partial differential equations inspired by Geometry and Mathematical Physics, especially for his remarkable study of solutions to fractional Schrodinger equations and nonlocal mean curvature problems. The committee also recognizes his outstanding contributions to the advancement of mathematics in Africa through research and public engagement.”

ICTP administers the DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize jointly with the Department of Science and Technology (DST, Government of India), and the International Mathematical Union (IMU). The prize is awarded annually to a researcher from a developing country who is less than 45 years of age on 31 December of the year of the award, and who has conducted outstanding research in a developing country. Researchers working in any branch of the mathematical sciences are eligible.
