For almost a decade now, PWF-Nepal has been organizing a series of schools, workshops, and roadshows in Nepal to encourage interest and participation in basic scientific research. This year, PWF-Nepal together with St. Xavier's College (Kathmandu) is organizing a three-day mini-workshop from 9-11 August 2023.

The program will consist of public talks on fundamental research, science communication, and career session. The public talks will be accessible and open to the general public. In addition, there will be lectures on high energy particle physics and hands-on data analysis sessions using the LHC data. This part of the program targets senior undergraduates and early M.Sc. students. Students will be selected based on their interest, preparation, computing skills, and recommendation from an academic supervisor. Special priority will be given to students from traditionally underrepresented community.

A panel discussion will be held to help students prepare for careers in science and science communication, which will be followed by a workshop on application preparations for graduate schools.
