This is the first school of the Colombian Network for High Energy Physics. It will take place in Universidad del Tolima, in the city of Ibague, Colombia, from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December 2023, prior to the COMHEP meeting, which will take place from the 4th to the 7th of December.
The timeline of 3 days will be divided into lectures and hands-on sessions where the students will choose between 3 projects to develop during the school, giving them the opportunity to explore different topics and learn from other areas in High Energy Physics. Material will continue to be available to them after the school so they can continue the work after and get more involved, should they be interested.
The main topics will be Detector Simulation, Monte Carlo simulations for the LHC experiments, and analysis of LHC open data.
