An ICTP hybrid Meeting
Polar climates are key components of the global climate and have been undergoing rapid and dramatic changes over the past decades.
This activity will emphasize the interactions between the cryosphere, ocean and atmosphere within the polar regions and the impacts of the ongoing changes in the polar regions on the regional and global climate. For each topic covered, both Arctic and Antarctic regions will be discussed by leading experts who will highlight similarities and differences between these regions.
The School will be followed by a Workshop on "The role of sea ice and its variability in the climate system". Applications are accepted for the School and Workshop or the Workshop only. Participants seeking to attend only the workshop, can apply at the following link:
