General Relativity changed our perception of the universe. This is one of the most beautiful and important theories in modern physics. Developed by Albert Einstein, it revolutionized our understanding of how gravity behaves in the presence of massive objects. This mini course provides undergraduate students (physics, mathematics and engineering) who are in their 3rd or 4th academic year, an opportunity to explore cosmic phenomena such as black holes and gravitational waves.

In this two-week online mini course, students will learn the basic principles of General Relativity in a theoretical mathematical framework. In addition, lectures will be supplemented with computational sessions (in Python) to help course participants grasp the theory concepts. A certificate of participation will be provided for those who attend the whole course.

The mini course will be taught in Spanish. Only students from Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH) will be accepted.
