Abstract:
In this talk, we explore the origins of primordial gravitational waves (GWs) from the early universe. We begin with an introduction to gravitational waves, their generation, and detection. We then discuss how quantum fluctuations during the cosmic inflation period produce primordial GWs, serving as a window into inflationary physics. We also cover graviton bremsstrahlung during reheating, where the decay of the inflaton field and particle interactions generate additional GWs. Finally, we examine GW production mechanisms during reheating, revealing insights into the universe's thermal history and energy scales. |
