Description This is a hands-on workshop on Mathematics of Black Holes with focus on Black Hole Thermodynamics. It will take place at the Department of Mathematics, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi (Pakistan). This workshop will familiarise the students with advanced and contemporary research topics in Black Hole Thermodynamics with emphasis on problem solving. It will also introduce the participants to the problem of Quantum Gravity.
 
This workshop is open to senior undergraduate and masters students of Mathematics and Physics who have completed either Relativity and Quantum Mechanics courses, or Differential Geometry and Linear Algebra courses. There is no registration fee, and is limited to 20 participants. Students outside Rawalpindi/Islamabad can apply but accommodation will not be provided.

The registered students will have to attend the full workshop and participate in all activities including the problem solving sessions. Participants will receive official ICTP PWF certificates on successful completion of the workshop.
