ICTP Physics Without Frontiers, in collaboration with the National Nuclear Research Institute of Ghana Atomic Energy Commission and School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences, University of Ghana, is organizing a One-week Training Workshop in Machine Learning from November 4-8, 2024, at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission’s Research Reactor Training Centre. Machine learning is critical in modern data analysis and research. Many students face challenges in mastering its fundamentals. This workshop aims to empower participants with essential ML skills, bridging the gap between learning and application. The workshop targets undergraduate and graduate students in physics, mathematics, engineering, and computer science. Participants will gain practical insights into data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection, fostering a deeper understanding of machine learning methodologies crucial for innovation. Both theoretical lectures and hands-on sessions will be provided. Female students are encouraged to apply.
