Description
A School in collaboration with AMU, CIMPA, ISP and University of Rwanda

An ICTP Meeting in person

This school focuses on the foundations of real and harmonic analysis, and their interactions with other areas of pure and applied mathematics.

Real Analysis studies the fine properties of functions and sets, while harmonic analysis provides a mathematical framework to study different types of oscillatory phenomena in nature. Together, they lie in the backbone of many applications to other areas such as partial differential equations, complex analysis, number theory and computer science. In this school, several experts in the field will deliver a series of introductory minicourses presenting these connections.

Speakers:

Week 1
Emanuel Carneiro (ICTP, Italy)
Mateus Sousa (BCAM, Spain)
Luz Roncal (BCAM, Spain)
C. Kurujyibwami (UR, Rwanda)

Week 2
Job Bonyo (MMU, Kenya)
Gabrielle Nornberg (UC, Chile)
Diogo Oliveira e Silva (IST - Lisbon, Portugal)

Grants: A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. There is no registration fee.
