Basics of Quantum Measurements
In the first lecture, we will introduce the foundational concepts of quantum measurements. We will discuss the formalism of quantum mechanics as it relates to measurement processes, including projective measurements and generalized measurement schemes such as POVMs (Positive Operator-Valued Measures). Emphasis will be placed on understanding essential concepts for describing quantum systems' evolution under continuous observation. |
