PWF Kenya: Methodological school on Density Functional Theory
Starts 30 Jun 2025 08:00
Ends 11 Jul 2025 18:00

Technical University in Nairobi

Advancing the theoretical and methodological skills of East African physics students and faculty is a prime requirement to develop their ability to be not just consumers of developed theoretical methodology, but also active contributors to it. There is currently little research output in methodological topics in density functional theory from East Africa, which points to an undeveloped area of training and research.
The goal of this Physics Without Frontiers school is to train the next generation of lecturers/researchers in the fundamentals of density-functional theory, focusing on the concepts and the formal aspects of the theory.
