Abstract:
This presentation offers a concise overview of the life and work of Joseph-Louis Lagrange, one of the most influential mathematicians and physicists of the 18th century. Special attention is given to his scientific correspondence with Leonhard Euler, which played a crucial role in shaping his early ideas and establishing his reputation across Europe. We will also explore his major contributions to analysis, mechanics, and number theory, with a focus on his Théorie des fonctions analytiques.
