Description
Quantum quenches for the 1D Bose gas (Lieb-Liniger model) are discussed.
The first part of the talk discusses how the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz can be used for quantum quenches. As an explicit example we quench the Lieb-Liniger model by instantaneously switching off the interactions. The subsequent time evolution is studied for various correlation functions. The long time average is compared with the predictions of several statistical ensembles.
The second part concerns the discussion of the generalized Gibbs ensemble for the Lieb-Liniger model by generalizing the well known TBA equations.
Possible applications and strategies are discussed.
