Strada Costiera, 11 I - 34151 Trieste (Italy)
PLEASE NOTE DEADLINE FOR APPLYING EXTENDED TO 17 FEBRUARY 2015.

The school is intended as a hands - on training activity that will provide an opportunity for participants to access new technologies and gain the necessary skills for designing and developing complete high performance systems for scientific applications at low cost.

The practical sessions of the school will be based on advanced hybrid reconfigurable devices that combine the software programmability of general purpose processors with the hardware reconfigurability of FPGA. By efficiently partitioning complex tasks in tightly interdependent software and hardware activities it is now possible to achieve unparalleled results in system performance while providing important system benefits in terms of flexibility, scalability, power consumption, developing time, and cost reduction.

The School will contain approximately 20 hours of l ectures and 40 hours of tutorials and laboratory sessions. It is expected to enhance the capabilities of researchers, teachers and advanced students from developing countries who are seeking to exploit modern electronic technologies for challenging scientific and academic purposes . The school will also promote networking and international collaborations.
