Medical physics is a rapidly evolving field that directly influences patient safety, diagnostic accuracy, and the quality of radiotherapy and imaging services. However, many countries especially regions under conflict—face a severe shortage of qualified medical physicists, limited access to hands-on training, and fragmented opportunities for early-career development. Yemen does not currently have a well-established formal postgraduate MSc pathway in Medical Physics comparable to international clinical medical-physics training program. The ICTP Physics Without Frontiers YEMEN School of Young Medical Physicists (SYMP) is motivated by the urgent need to build the next generation of medical physic equipped with clinical, computational, and research skills in Yemen and conflict area countries.
 The school aims to reduce training and gender gaps, empower early-career professionals, and strengthen healthcare capacity through education, innovation, and global partnerships.
